01 / PEACE EDUCATION
Turn knowledge into practice
Interactive exercises that help people explore nonviolent thinking.
AN INTERNATIONAL PEACEFUL WORLD INITIATIVE
Peace Hackathon.
Build technology for peace. Together.
We are developing an international initiative where peace researchers, educators, developers and designers can turn peace studies, nonviolence and peace education into useful digital tools.

THE WHY
Peace research should work in real life.
We know a lot about peace and nonviolence. But there is still a huge gap between research and tools people can actually use.
Peace Hackathon is envisioned as a bridge between verifiable research and real needs. Researchers and practitioners define a problem, designers make solutions approachable and developers build a prototype. Potential harm must be considered at every step.
RESEARCH→COLLABORATION→BUILD
WHAT WE COULD BUILD
Ideas worth building.
Three possible directions. These are illustrations of future challenges, not active projects.
02 / DIALOGUE
Make space for dialogue
Digital tools for planning educational sessions and thoughtful conversations.
03 / PEACE TECH
Free up time for peace
Tools that reduce repetitive work for researchers and peace-focused NGOs.
Evidence, real needs and safety come first. No challenges for weapons, targeting or coercive surveillance.
03 / HOW IT COULD WORK
Come together. Build. Keep going.
Our proposed format is international online sprints with collaboration on GitHub. If the pilot proves useful, they could become monthly.
This is a concept. The first hackathon has not been scheduled.
01
Find the problem
A real need, relevant knowledge and a clear goal.
02
Bring people together
Researchers, developers, designers and practitioners.
03
Build a prototype
A short sprint with a working outcome.
04
Keep improving
Ideas that can keep growing beyond the event.
PEOPLE AND PURPOSE
Peace needs its builders, too.
We want to bring together people who want to use their skills to protect life, foster cooperation and advance nonviolence. Different disciplines can find common purpose here.

A FUTURE PEACEFUL WORLD INITIATIVE
Let's build what helps people live in peace.
Peace Hackathon is already listed among Peaceful World's initiatives in preparation. We are developing the programme and its responsible-building principles. No first event is scheduled, and registration and recruitment are not open.
