One minute. One simple exercise. No preparation needed: the app guides you through five steps.
Pause
Bring your attention back to a sound, breath, or a bodily sensation.
Notice Life
Notice the living being behind familiar roles and reactions.
Wish Them Well
For one minute, turn your mind towards goodwill.
Reduce Harm
Look for a gentler, less harmful option — for yourself or others.
Make a Choice
Choose one small step and imagine yourself doing it.
Not another meditation app
Calm may come, but it is not the goal.
The practice does not ask you to clear your mind, suppress emotions, or make yourself feel better.
It gives you a few minutes to interrupt an automatic reaction, return attention to life, notice possible harm, and move towards a concrete choice.
Not “calm down”.
Anger, anxiety, or tension may still be there.
Not a moral test.
There is no “right” feeling you have to force.
From attention to action.
The final step takes the practice out of the phone and back into real life.
Why five minutes?
Because starting should be easy.
A book, a course, or an hour of practice can offer much more. But you still have to get there.
Five minutes is a small first step: short enough to try on almost any day, and long enough to genuinely work with attention, your relationship to another person, and the choice you make next.
Five minutes will not transform anyone on schedule. But they create space to practise.
Peace is not only an idea. It is a skill.
Knowing about nonviolence is not enough. In a difficult moment, you also need to remember, notice that there is a choice, and respond differently.
We can agree with the values of peace, compassion, and nonviolence — and still react automatically with anger, defensiveness, blame, or harm.
That is why Peace Practice is not another lecture. It creates a small space for repetition: pause, notice life, turn towards goodwill, reduce harm, and make a choice.
The idea is simple: what we want to be able to do under pressure is worth practising before the pressure arrives.
The goal is not to keep you in the app. The goal is to help you depend on it less.
Peace Practice does not reward daily streaks or punish missed days. There are no points, rankings, or fear of “losing progress”.
Practise every day, once a week, or come back after a long break. A missed day resets nothing.
Skill matters more than screen time.
No daily streaks.
Missing a day resets nothing.
No account.
No registration required.
No ads.
Your attention is not a product.
No pressure.
The practice invites you back. It does not push you.

Created by Peaceful World
We created it as part of peace education — not as a commercial wellness product.
Peace Practice was created by Peaceful World, a nonprofit organization. We research, create, and test tools that help carry ideas of nonviolence, dignity, and a culture of peace from text into everyday life.
The app remains free, ad-free, and does not require registration. We develop it gradually, based on research, feedback, and real user experience.
