SOCIETY
Beyond conflict
Reconciliation, diplomacy, freedom and new institutions that make violence less inevitable.
The future is not yet written.
Stories of futures worth building.
We're developing the concept for an international magazine of science fiction and other speculative stories. The future need not be all catastrophe, and hope need not erase difficult choices. What matters is compelling fiction and the freedom to imagine.
AI WELCOME Write solo or with AI. We welcome both.WHY IT MATTERS
It's time to imagine what comes after.
Dystopias and disasters have their place in culture. But fear is not the whole future. We need stories about people making difficult choices, discovering ways to live together and changing the world one step at a time.
We don't demand a perfect future. We seek stories in which the future can still be changed.
EDITORIAL IDEAAI WELCOME · OUR EDITORIAL PRINCIPLE
For us, AI is not a reason to reject a manuscript. It's an opportunity to create differently. We actively welcome writers who use AI for ideas, worldbuilding, dialogue, editing or first drafts. Write alone, alongside AI or from an AI-generated starting point: originality, storytelling craft and responsibility for the final work matter most.
THREE WAYS TO CREATE · ONE EDITORIAL STANDARD
No automatic rejection for using AI. We do require disclosure of substantial AI involvement, respect for third-party rights, and human editorial review. AI use never guarantees publication.
A SPACE FOR STORIES
We want excellent fiction with conflict, characters and consequences — from the near tomorrow to worlds unimaginably far away.
SOCIETY
Reconciliation, diplomacy, freedom and new institutions that make violence less inevitable.
SCIENCE & ETHICS
AI, discovery, space and technology that make us ask again what it means to be human.
POSSIBLE WORLDS
Solarpunk, cultural plurality, alternative civilizations and surprising ways of collaborating.
These are imaginative directions, not genre restrictions. Dark moments and complicated endings remain welcome.
A GLIMPSE OF THE READING EXPERIENCE
We do not want fiction that simply proves us right. We want characters, doubt, stakes and discovery. Even a future worth hoping for deserves real drama.
One possible moment from tomorrow
That evening, for the first time, the city’s AI refused to choose for the people it served. A single line appeared on the council screen: “You haven’t listened to each other yet.”
Rain streaked the glass wall. Beyond the doors waited people whose lives depended on the outcome. It was nine minutes to midnight.
An illustrative fictional passage written for this design. It is not a published story or an editorially accepted submission.
This is the kind of reading experience we envision: expressive typography, room to read, and fiction that asks questions rather than issuing instructions.
THE PROPOSED MODEL
We are designing an independent editorial home, not an endless feed of machine-generated prose. Every story deserves care, every author respect, every reader a chance to discover.
Emerging and established writers from different countries will be able to propose their work.
Human editors review literary quality and originality, not the writer's fame.
After agreed terms, selected fiction could be published with full author credit. We aim to bring it to readers through available Peaceful World channels.
Discussion, reader choice and future competitions can surface new voices without replacing editorial judgment.
This is the proposed process. The editorial desk, submission form and publication programme are not live.
A WORLD OF LANGUAGES
We imagine a magazine where writers need not abandon their own language to be heard. Different cultures can bring different futures, voices, rhythms and ways of imagining.
MANY VOICES · MANY FUTURES
LANGUAGES ARE PART OF THE STORY.
NOT JUST FOR WRITERS
We hope to bring together not only writers but future language curators, literary editors, translators and audiobook voices. Together they could help remarkable stories cross language barriers.
Russian and English are the first planned editorial languages. Others will follow only as qualified curators and editors join. Manuscript submissions are not open yet.
Our aim is to welcome stories beyond English, opening each language once we can provide competent reading and editing, ideally with native speakers.
We envision language curators who help build a reading team, review submissions, support writers and protect cultural nuance. A way to propose yourself will come later.
Translators, editors and narrators could help stories travel. Translation and narration require rightsholders' permission and proper credit for everyone involved.
THE AUTHOR'S VOICE
Writers keep the rights to their protectable original contributions.
Our proposed model asks writers for a limited licence covering agreed publication, not a transfer of all rights. Translation, narration, print anthologies and screen adaptations would each need separate rightsholder permission. We want to be a publishing partner, not the owner of someone else's imagination.
Final licence and compensation terms will be available before submissions open. Copyright protection for AI-involved works depends on applicable law and human creative contribution.
THE FIRST STEP · ISSUE ZERO
What happens after a choice changes the course of history?
We hope to begin with a small, carefully edited digital issue: stories of turning points, from refusing retaliation to discovering new ways of living together. This remains a proposed editorial theme, not an open contest.
QUESTIONS FROM FUTURE CONTRIBUTORS
The magazine is still being built. We'd rather be clear about what we intend — and what must be decided before the first call for stories.
Absolutely. We actively invite AI-assisted and AI-first creative experiments alongside human-written work. We won't reject stories simply because AI was used. Disclose substantial AI involvement, respect third-party rights and meet the same literary standards. Human editors make the final decision.
Our long-term goal is multilingual publishing. We plan to start with RU/EN editorial coverage, expanding as qualified editors and curators join. Submissions are not yet open.
Rightsholders retain rights in their protectable original contributions. The magazine intends to request a defined publication licence, not ownership of every right. Audio, translation and screen adaptation need separate permission. The status of AI-generated content depends on applicable law.
We aim to build a distribution channel for selected fiction, introduce its authors, share stories through our channels and, where possible, develop audio and translations. These are goals, not guaranteed services for every writer.
No submissions date has been set. We first need approved editorial rules, rights terms and a compensation policy. We do not plan a submission fee for the pilot; honoraria and funding are not yet confirmed.

PEACEFUL WORLDS · A PEACEFUL WORLD INITIATIVE
The first stories are still ahead. We begin with imagination — and take it seriously.
